Dex lives with Type 2 diabetes. He was born and raised in Ann Arbor Michigan. He’s been an athlete his whole life, playing Baseball, Basketball, Football, Wrestling, and Track and Field. He attended Michigan State University and upon graduating, moved to Boston MA. He was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in the summer of  2013. He was pretty devastated in the beginning given his family’s past history living with diabetes. He was doing CrossFit prior to being diagnosed and knew that if he cleaned up his diet, he could manage his diabetes and use it as a way to help people. He currently lives in Los Angeles as a Crossfit coach, personal trainer, actor and fitness model. He loves his job because it allows me to help people through health and fitness.
