Annellys’s Type 1 diabetes made its debut when she was just out of high school in the year 2000. A recent Certified Natural Health Professional, she is passionate about health, wellness, and fitness. She loves to motivate and raise awareness about Type 1 diabetes in the Hispanic community and through her Instagram page @divabet1ca.

Annellys currently resides in Queens, NY, with her musician husband Plinio and two precious boys Maxwell and Maddox. Originally from the Dominican Republic, her goal is to lead, set standards, and leave a positive footprint by educating and connecting in a more personal and fun way with current and future T1D generations who feel they don’t have it all together.
